Tim,
        I wanted to take this time to let you know what an extraordinary level of customer service and support that I have received from Kelven Cockerham.  Unfortunately, bad customer service in this day and age has come to be the norm and not too many letters of great customer service performance get addressed.

I brought my Sundowner trailer in just before Thanksgiving for body work or rather replacement of drop down windows and a new escape door.  I was patient because I knew that the holidays meant a close down of different factories for parts, but never the less I was not quite happy with the level of service that I received prior to the time that Kelven took over.  I basically had no calls from the last service tech and found myself calling the Sundowner company to see if any calls were even made.

At the first of the year, with no progress at all, I came to learn that Kelven took over from another person who left your company.    I must admit there was a dramatic change of performance from the last person to Kelven that prompted me to write this.  The biggest change is that he is very responsive, communicative and really a follow through person. He has handled this so well that I feel that I want to have additional work done to my trailer. 

Many years ago I also had an excellent experience when purchasing my first Featherlite horse trailer from your company which I still own. I will be brining that trailer in to have some work done on it as well.

I also want you to know that I sell horse property in the Charlotte area and have had the opportunity to recommend your company to many of my friends, namely, Joel Wing, Dan Sullivan, one who has purchased a new Featherlite Living Quarters Trailer and the other who has brought in their trailer for service.

Each person that I spoke with was extremely knowledgeable and ready to help. The mechanics conducting the trailer service/checks were top notch. Also, a special thank you to Squire. Squire, I just wanted to contact you to say thank you to you and to Golden Gait Trailers. My wife and I researched Featherlite stock trailers for over a month before we decided to contact your company in February. After speaking with you on several occasions we were able to secure a deal on a new 24’ stock trailer with the options we needed and wanted. We traveled over seven hours one way to come to your dealership to pick the trailer up. We were not disappointed. The service we received while we were there was great. Our local dealer could not beat your deal so we decided to make the trip. The trailer has worked out perfectly for us. Keep up the great work. To Golden Gait Trailers: My wife Sue and I recently purchased a new Featherlite motorcycle trailer from Golden Gait Trailers.  We are retiring December 31, 2008 and our plan is to travel the continent with our new class “B” motorhome, towing the trailer with our Yamaha Venture touring bike inside, ready for every adventure along the way.
Making a major purchase is stressful at the best of times. Making one at a long distance, sight unseen, could prove disastrous.  And remember, this is our retirement dream!  This certainly was not the case in our dealings with Josh Kempers.  We “met” over the phone, and from the beginning, Josh gave me the feeling that not only were we buying a quality product, but that we could be confident that everything involved would be taken care of.  We flew from Ottawa, Canada December 27th, picked up the motorhome at Young RV Sales on the 28th and headed for Golden Gait.  We were truly impressed with the facility when we arrived and after really meeting Josh, he took us into the garage area and introduced us to our new trailer.  We brought the coach in and Josh completed the setup and hookup. There was a slight problem with the wiring and in short order two servicemen had us ready to go.  There was no way they were going to let us out of the shop with anything less than a perfectly operating rig.
Our experience dealing with Josh and the other staff at Golden Gait was very positive and professional and we would like to thank everyone for helping us realize our retirement dream!
